Full of cultural importance, relatable relationship drama, and plenty of excellent fight choreography, this martial arts centered fantasy is a treat and introduces a new face to the universe that we are instantly big fans of.

While that impairment is certainly a large piece of how this particular familiar story is told, there is plenty that sets it apart with regard to execution and it stands as one of our favorite films because of that.

Episode 285: Days of Thunder

We feel the need, the need for speed! No – not that movie, the other one about Tom Cruise going super fast in a vehicle and dealing with trauma while trying to prove he’s the best. We’re not big fans of NASCAR, but this film uses the sport as the backdrop for an exciting and entertaining story that we thoroughly enjoyed discussing.
