Episode 142: Aquaman

Hail to the King… of the box office, at least. James Wan’s undersea adventure fantasy film is earning gobs of cash and has enormous fan support for its unique and bombastic storytelling style. We have our good friend Andrew B. Dyce from ScreenRant.com join us once again to discuss the new DC Extended Universe entry while using as many water puns as we can fit in. An epic film deserves an epic conversation and we think this is one you’ll enjoy.

Episode 140: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Let’s cut to the chase – this week we get to discuss our favorite animated film of 2018. Into the Spider-Verse isn’t just the ultimate Spider-man, it’s amazing, spectacular, and astonishing too, and provides us ample material to cover like sympathetic villains, the idea that everyone can be a superhero, and what a playground for telling diverse stories can look like going forward.

Episode 133: Upgrade

To celebrate Halloween, we’re covering this 2018 sci-fi action thriller with horror elements to it. We love a good exploration of how humans interact with new technology and Leigh Whannell’s UPGRADE gives us not only plenty to ponder but an entertaining, kick-ass delivery system for its big ideas. This is a fun conversation and one that had us asking ourselves some tough questions. Enjoy!

Episode 128: WALL·E

It’s week four of what has been a thoroughly awesome #SciFiSeptember and we are excited to be covering this 2008 Pixar gem. This is a movie that definitely hits on the feelin’ aspect of our show and it was a good chance for us to both revisit it for the first time in nearly 10 years. The result? What we feel is a wonderful conversation about love, consumerism, and ultimately a film that enters The Trophy Room!
