Family! Family, family, family… family; family? FAMMMMMMIIILLLLLLYYY. The family is in trouble because Dante Reyes is out for blood, but first he wants to cause them as much suffering as possible, which means we need even more family to come back so that they can be punished, too. This entry goes fully self-aware and asks us to laugh at it instead of just with it. We don’t exactly think it’s a good movie, but we both enjoyed our time in the theater and feel kind of conflicted about that. Listen in as we go through franchise burnout therapy.

Though many dislike this entry, we have a fondness for this particular film in the Fast Saga and think it is severely underrated. In this episode, we gush about how Justin Lin starts to take this franchise down new roads while solidifying character relationships we’ve come to love and giving us a healthy dose of mostly still grounded racing action.

MOVIE REVIEW: Hobbs & Shaw

I’m a huge, HUGE fan of the FAST AND FURIOUS series, so it doesn’t feel good to admit that HOBBS AND SHAW isn’t great. I enjoyed seeing this with my son, but the dialogue is cringe-worthy, “the feels” forced, and the action just okay. I left disappointed.
